On Thursday, Cara Delevingne hopped on RuPaul and Michelle Visage’s podcast “What’s the Tee?” and opened up about her sex life to the Drag Race stars.
The British model started by sharing how she lost her virginity. “I only started having sex when I was 18. I was quite late,” she told the host. “Me too,” said RuPaul, who added that he prefers laughter over sex.
RuPaul’s comment struck a chord with the model-actress and she replied: “I think laughter in sex is so important ’cause you watch movies, and you’re like, that’s sexy, and that’s what sex will be like, and you have sex and, ‘Whoa that’s not it’ when you do something really embarrassing.”
The Her Smell actress, 26, admitted that she would “rather have sex than go out now.” Delevingne also touched on what she looks for in a sexual partner and her bedroom preferences. She explained that she “loves people” and that if she weren’t a model, she would be a psychiatrist or focus on anthropology.
“Part of sex is connection; it’s feral. You meet someone, and when you go in the bedroom, it’s another animal, to me that is so interesting ’cause there are certain people who are super sexy, and they flirt with you, and then you have sex with them, and they’re terrible,” she said.
“I like people who are really prudish because when they get in the bedroom, they’re like, ‘What?!’ And it’s a whole transformation,” she continued.
Delevingne added that because she naturally enjoys being around people, she is “generally really good at giving love and not receiving it. And I’m kind of the same in bed as well.” She continued, “There’s a part of where I find it quite difficult to receive pleasure or love or things like that, and so I just kind of like to give.”
Delevingne also noted that she is “always very submissive with men” and is “the opposite” when she’s having sex with women.
Surprisingly enough, family-oriented Disney was a part of Delevingne’s sexual awakening. “I learned so many lessons from that, from Disney, and you know, like, kind of fairy tale thing,” she said. “I mean that was part of the thing where I never really wanted to accept my sexuality, because I was like, Disney princesses all love men. That’s the way it is. And I’m not gonna be a princess if I don’t.”
Delevingne is currently reportedly dating actress Ashley Benson (Pretty Little Liars and Spring Breakers). After Delevingne walked Karl Lagerfeld’s final Chanel show, she and Benson got cozy in the back seat of a car, as evidenced by an Instagram postby Benson’s stylist, Jamie Mizrahi.
According to an Us Weekly source, the couple is “very happy.” “This is the first girl she’s ever dated. This relationship with Cara is the first time she’s been in a healthy relationship, and she feels as if it’s really easy with her,” said the insider at the time.
